what do we believe at eastside?

  1. We believe the Bible—both the Old and New Testament—is fully inspired by God and is the ultimate authority for faith and life.
  2. We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is both fully God and fully human.
  4. We believe that God created humanity in His image, but sin entered the world, bringing both physical and spiritual death. Because of this, all people inherit a sinful nature, leading to personal guilt and separation from God.
  5. We believe that Jesus died as a sacrifice for our sins, fulfilling what the Scriptures foretold. Through faith in Him, we are made right with God by the power of His shed blood.
  6. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus, His ascension into heaven, and His ongoing role as our High Priest and Advocate.
  7. We believe that Jesus will personally return one day.
  8. We believe that anyone who places their faith in Jesus is born again by the Holy Spirit and becomes a child of God.
  9. We believe that all followers of Jesus are called to live lives of holiness, devotion to Him, and service in His name.
  10. We believe in the Holy Spirit as a personal and active presence in the lives of believers. He dwells within those who have accepted Jesus, guiding and directing them in every aspect of life.
  11. We believe in the resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous—the redeemed will experience eternal joy, while those who reject salvation will face eternal separation from God.
